Vegas!

Las Vegas is not good for much, considering we hate crowds, don't gamble, or have money for the shows, etc. BUT it has great weather (a clear 80 all weekend) and we had a house with a pool to share with our favorite Provo couple Winny and Brandon. We had a great time doing something different with our family.

Weston loves the water and wanted us all to get our swimsuits on as soon as he woke up. As seen below he is holding his dragon "toothless" that he has been holding for two weeks straight, including to bed. Don't you just love little boys?

Wes has two favorite people in his life aside from his mommy and daddy (I like to think), and that is Uncle Brandon and Uncle Mark. Since Brandon was with him all weekend he followed him around, and would look for him when he left his side.

Baby girl did great on the trip! She is calming down, crying less, and starting to interact with us lots more. Isn't she beautiful?

Catherine's Baby Blessing

Beautiful Catherine was blessed today and we had lots of family together for the occasion. She was a baby doll in her dress Grandma made her (Kathy), and her booties Scott's Grandma Moore made her, and her bow that Melissa made her. How blessed she is, and we are, to have such loving supportive family.
So Catherine can read this someday (in a book perhaps), this is who came: Grandma and Grandpa Elmer, Melissa, Mark, Kristi, Kalli, Great Grandma and Grandpa Moore, Whitney and Brandon Vorwaller, Merralee, Rachel, and Courtney Boyce.

Catherine cried during almost all of her "photo shoot". She has not yet learned that this is going to be a non-negotiable part of her life. I think Grandpa Elmer may have gotten some better pictures than us and I can post those later.

For comparison, this is Wes from his blessing, and he is just Catherine's age here - 2 months.

oh the joy

The other night we were leaving the Boyce's in Salt Lake and Merralee gave him a lollipop for the car ride home. Wes nursed his "blue candy" all the way home, only to have his mean mommy (me) make him surrender it to brush his teeth and get ready for bed. I was met with rebellion, but when I told him he could have it again tomorrow he put it on the bathroom counter obediently.
I thought I had won and it would be tossed and forgotten by the next day, but I was outsmarted. Weston played it offensively.
Around 6am I awoke to hear Weston get out of his room and I heard him rummaging around, but less than a minute later I heard him go back in his room, shut the door, and jump back in bed. I forgot about this until I got up around 8 and noticed Weston's step in front of the bathroom sink - odd because I had remembered putting it away the night before. Wes came out of his room, clearly having just woken up and covered in blue, sticky candy, that he had finished, and then slept in.

loads more pictures

This is Wes' new dragon "Toothless", and his Aunt Kalli

Wes pretending to care about his sister in order to get even more attention from his Aunts

Scott with his new glasses, who has not approved this picture before posting

Pictures of myself in T-30lbs
Funny story: this morning the bathroom scale was on the floor and Weston saw it and asked Scott "what's that Daddy?" He replied "that's how Mommy knows how bad to feel about herself today."
(that was a jab at me, by the way, because Scott groans when I complain about my post-pregnant self, as I'm sure you all are doing right now)

This is how Cate looks at us all day, like, you guys are crazy!

Hai

See my hair is getting curly as it grows

I can be serious and pretty at the same time

And then Wes fills his time by going through "his" closet and getting all of my yarn in an un-recoverable tangle. That's fine, I didn't want to crochet anything anyhow. I think that hat he's wearing was the last thing I did.
