my cool Africa art

Scott's brother Mark served his mission in Mozambique and among many cool things given to us was this piece of art (forget what it's called). Kathy (Scott's mom) showed me how to sew a backing onto it and I hung it up in our room today. Wanted to show it off (mostly for mom to see, since she asks for pictures.)

Arizona

Sarah, Winny, and I decided to take a trip to see the Johnsons the day after Thanksgiving because who knows when we'll have this opportunity again. To say it was fun would be an understatement.

The Johnson's in-laws have chickens in their back yard. They're friendlier than I thought they would be.

Sarah and I did end up chasing down a chicken and picking it up (after many attempts). Winny settled for just holding one.

Ellie and Weston loved the popcorn the most. They nearly ate the entire bowl themselves.

Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving this year. We are fortunate enough to live close to the Elmer's and got to spend the day with them. Weston loves being the center of attention. We also got to visit the Boyces and see more family and have more pie.

Weston's Halloween

Wes was Braveheart this year because Scott bought him a kilt in Scotland. We did blue face paint for our ward Halloween party but since Wes kept tasting it (it was edible) I wasn't going to do it again on Halloween.

Halloween was lots of fun. We visited Melissa in the ER, and also decided last minute to go trick-or-treating in Scott's parents' neighborhood. Wes was up waaay past his bedtime but was a tireless trick-or-treater. He was cheerful and all smiles at the nice people giving him candy.
