A Very Merry Christmas

After a wonderful Christmas I put Weston to bed at night and he told me "Since we didn't see Santa today maybe he will come tonight and put presents under the tree again and we will see him tomorrow."
Oh if only it worked that way. We had a wonderful Christmas, but not getting to see Santa was no great loss and the presents are the least of it. Although we have been spoiled by our families, we have also been enjoying our time here with them, and missing our family in Utah. We love you.

We've also had some fun playing in the snow...

And we have enjoyed hanging around the house...

and playing with his cousin Sage

Catherine was hanging with her Dad and David in the game room while they played the Wii, they noticed it was quiet for just a little while and found Catherine hiding behind the couch eating the chocolate she had unwrapped herself.

This is the "no Catherine. Don't touch my new toy" face.

Uncle David winning her over.

And a very happy Christmas break :)

This video of Wes is because he is just so darned cute. Wes is social and engaging, but does not always act like his talkative self around anyone but his mom and dad. This video is just to show how he goes on at home. He talks like this ALLLL day, and we love him for it, and sometimes despite it.
Oh, and it's important to note that he did not know I was recording him. If he had thought I was he would have laid on the ground like a dog and rolled around acting shy.

Thanksgiving

I'm going to post about Thanksgiving but change my wallpaper to a Christmas theme. I can't help it...it's allowed after Thanksgiving and I love Christmas.
What a week we had! Melissa and Mark came and we wanted them to have a great time and ended up getting both of them sick. :( We're sorry! Or I'm sorry, since I was sick first. So Thanksgiving Day was marred for them by a nasty bug but hopefully the week made up for it, a little. My parents and sister Shauna came for Thanksgiving Day and we loved having our family in our home to share this Holiday. Thank you for visiting us it really makes us all so happy.
Melissa took all of these beautiful pictures of the kids and since that's what this blog is all about I'm going to post lots of them. (lots of Catherine because 9 month olds are very picture worthy)

Halloween!

The most beautiful Snow White there ever was,
and the most handsome and fierce Dragon Slayer that ever will be!

We had a nice time trick-or-treating. Catherine only visited a few houses before her sweet daddy took her home to get out of the cold.

Weston whispered "trick or treat" at each house because he is still a very shy boy, but on leaving he would yell "now let's get more candy!" very loudly before most people had shut their door. He talked incessantly about the two pieces of candy he was going to pick to eat when he got home, and ate them very joyfully on the couch. He even reminded me that he could eat two more tomorrow as I was tucking him into bed.

We went to a party on Friday night, and even Scott and I dressed up.
I was an Angel (fitting, I know), and Scott was a terrific Tony Stark.

These are some of the children of law school students - they are all so cute.
